Audrey nodded, she didn’t want to seem too eager for the gift, it wasn’t why she was there. She hadn’t expected a present she just wanted him. “That’s fine with me, I’m assuming I can spend the night…so we have time.” She smiled again and sighed in contentment. “I’ve missed you too..I didn’t realize there was a limit on how much we should miss each other.” She cracked a smile and laughed a bit. “I love you too, of course I do. Your my life Eric.” She decided to sit on him and got comfortable as Sofia crawled around. Audrey reached for her bag and lay out some toys for her including her favorite stuffed animals. She blushed as Eric mentioned their one night in New York. Then she giggled softly. “Yeah…that was the most magical night of my life.” She turned to face him and kissed his cheek and then turned to face their little princess. She nodded at his words. “Well I’m here. I’m still working on everything, been talking to Johnny about the lawyers, but he’s been all over the place. I know you don;t like it when I baby him but I’ve been trying to just help him out with his music and hoping soon, things get better. But I have missed you, a lot a lot.”

“Uh, yeah you can stay over. We can sleep in here, have a sleepover, a rated-g sleepover.” The thought about Audrey sleeping in the same bed as Jackie irked him to no end. So he would do anything to keep that from happening. At lest until he got a new bed sometime this week. Eric listened to her words. Taking each of them to heart. It was like she knew what he did and she was trying to use such loving words against him. Like she was attacking him from the easiest position she knew. Eric bit back his lecture on her and Johnny. Since he wasn’t really in a position to say anything to her about Johnny. “Oh, that’s interesting. Hope it all goes well.” He laid his head on her shoulder. Trying to relax himself. “Let’s just sit here for a bit. No talking. Just breathing. Yeah?” Eric fixed his arms tightly around her waist, pulling her body flush against his.

Audrey smiled at him as he opened up and walked in. She had been worried but it seemed like everything was alright. “Hey stranger.” She leaned in to kiss him and smiled as she did. It had been way too long. She carried Sofia in and looked at him as he spoke. “You didn’t have to but thanks..can i go see it?” Now that sofia crawled she didn’t like being carried around as much so Audrey put her down and put down her and Sofia’s bag as well. She walked over to Eric and hugged him tightly. “I really missed you, everything’s been so hectic but I’m glad to just be back right now and with you. Sof missed her dad too you know.” Audrey held his hand and led him over to the couch to watch Sofia who was playing around.” I wish I could have spent my birthday with you but Ryan took me to New York. It was truly amazing. ” She focused her attention on her daughter and felt some relief. Things weren’t going great but they were looking up and in the end that’s what mattered to her.

Eric stood still as she kissed him. Trying his best not to just blurt out his mistake. “Uh, I’ll bring it down to you later.” He pulled her into the hug, savoring every second of it. The more he spent thinking about Jackie the more he wanted to make that night go away. “I’ve missed you so much, Audrey. Maybe more than I should. But I do, and I love you. A lot.” He knew what he was saying made no sense to her, but he felt like he needed to let her know before anything else came on topic. He listened to what she said, glad she was able to have fun with her brother. “Sounds amazing. I think there was a certain night back in New York where a certain little princess was made. Am I right?” Eric looked at Sofia playing on the ground. He let his arm wrap around Audrey, bringing her closer to him. “I’ve missed you.” He leaned down and gave her a small kiss on top of her head, playing with a few strands of her hair.

Audrey jumped off her bed as soon as she saw the message from Eric. She had been worrying that things were going terrible and she felt like maybe she had been wrong. Like things were going to be okay. She picked Sofia up and grabbed everything she needed. She assumed she’d be staying the night so she let her twin brother know. She walked to the car and made sure Sofia was buckled up before starting it and heading off. She tried to seem fine, Sofia was happy to finally see her dad, but she couldn’t help it. Audrey felt something wrong and knew she shouldn’t. There wasn’t a reason. It was just that everything in their lives had been so hectic. That must have been it. Audrey arrived at his place and parked the car, just waiting in it for a while. After a while she mustered up the courage to get out. She unbuckled Sofia who was all smiles and took her bag along with Sofia’s diaper bag. “C’mon angel let’s go see daddy and what he’s been up to.” She walked up to the door and rang the bell and then stepped back.

Eric fixed up his bed. Making it look as clean as possible. He had washed his sheets at lest five times, maybe more since he lost count. But he felt like no matter how many times he cleaned them, they wouldn’t come clean from his drunk night with Jackie. Eric ran a hand through his messy hair, finally giving up the fight with his sheets. He tapped his foot against the floor. Wondering how long Audrey would take to get to his place. He had went out and bought her a necklace with a small heart at the end. Mostly for her birthday, but also as a secret forgive me gift. He knew he had to tell her about Jackie. And he would. Just not tonight. Not during a night that was supposed to be dedicated to her. That would ruin the whole point. And make things ten times messier than they already are. Eric sat on his bed, leaning back to help his head from hurting so much. Even after a day, his hangover wasn’t completely gone. But then again, he shouldn’t have thought it would be, considering he drank enough for three years or so. His head hurting even more when he heard someone knock on the front door. “Coming.” Eric got of his bed, making his way down stairs and to the front door. “Hey” Eric moved aside to let Audrey in. Trying to focus on the good rather than the bad that was eating at him. “Happy late birthday. I bought you something, but it’s up stairs.”

I wanna be drunk… || Self Para

Eric sat in the all to familiar rundown bar. He hadn’t done much since the news about Taylor. In fact, he was surprised he was still alive. Given he hasn’t even eaten much either. His finger tracing the small glass’ opening. A small ringing coming from it. He eyes stayed focused on it, never leaving it to look at something else.

So far the only good thing happening in this town is “someone’s” birthday today

So have they let Charleigh or Molly go yet? Since there’s hardly anything pointing to them
